I'm sure I remembered Tom Cruise playing Laaa in Night at the Museum. It would have been a perfect and hilarious casting choice. However, director Shawn Levy's third installment of the franchise was a bit of a letdown. Ben Stiller reprised his role as Larry Daley, but the movie didn't quite live up to its predecessors.
It's true that Tom Cruise did appear in the trailer for Night at the Museum, but he didn't actually feature in the film itself. He played one of the cavemen, but his scenes were cut from the final version.
